Year 5: Cosmic

In 5SC, we are currently reading Cosmic by Frank Cottrell-Boyce. 

Liam, a 13-year old boy, takes one giant leap for boy-kind and ends up on an epic adventure to space and back with his friends. What will his mum and dad say when he returns home?

Goshen says: "I like the character of Liam because he's so tall it makes him seem a lot older. I can't wait for the characters to finally get to space!"

Sumayo says: "It's a very funny book. Florida is my favourite character so far, she keeps arguing with Liam like a real daughter would".

So far we'd give Cosmic 4.5 stars out of 5. Cosmic is consistently funny, especially when talking about Liam's 'moustache' or when he and Florida, his best friend, almost steal a Porsche! We can't wait to find out how Liam, Florida and the crew get home and we're torn, almost 50/50, on whether or not Liam's Dad is going to shout at him or be massively proud at the end!
