Year 4: Viking Voyagers

In Year 4, we’re currently reading “Viking Voyages” by Jack Tite.

Around 1,200 years ago, the legendary voyaging Norsemen set sail to raid and trade - the Viking Age began. This book steps back in time to find out what Viking life was like, how they travelled, where they traded and their rich mythology.

Nini says, “I’ve enjoyed this book since we started reading it! I like it because of all the amazing things the vikings did including the legends Odin and Ysur and all the routes they took to trade. I can’t wait to keep on reading and find out more!”

Abu says, “We’re loving reading this book! We’ve learnt so much about the 9 realms! I’d love to live in Asgard so I can meet Thor and Loki! However, Muspellheim and Jotunheim sound cool because giants live there! But unfortunately we’re all living on Midgard - home of the humans. I can’t wait to find out more about the origins of the vikings ready for our school trip where we’ll get the chance to dress up as one!”

So far we’d give ‘Viking Voyagers’ 5 stars! It’s incredibly detailed and tells us so much we didn't know about where the vikings originated. We're loving finding out about the Origin of Odin and Asgard (Thor's dad!).
