Children were involved in the Primary Engineer Leaders Award 2018 which is aimed at children aged 3-19. This project was all about encouraging engineers of the future and involving children in the fascinating world of engineering. The children enjoyed researching different engineers and they even got to meet an engineer who kindly came into school to tell children all about their jobs.
Children were asked the question,
“If you were an engineer, what would you do?”
They achieved this by identifying a problem and devising a solution to that problem. Some of the problems included getting out of bed in the morning, climate change, their homework and whatever they perceived as a problem.
All children who took part will receive a certificate and two inventions per year group will be selected as trophy winners.
