Year 3

Year 3 are currently looking at Sir Ernest Shackelton as part of the RESPECT curriculum. We are focusing on Sir Ernest’s journey on his three expeditions to the Antarctic. This half term in our English lessons we will be using persuasive features in letters and adverts to recruit team members to join our mission. In our mathematics lessons we will be finding fractions of amounts.  In addition to this, we will also be using our maths skills to calculate what supplies would be needed on board the Endurance for different amounts of crew members.
