Autumn Term 2016 -
Christmas has landed in reception P as well as a little helper from Santa. I wonder what we could teach him?
This week reception have been chefs making their very own disgusting sandwiches. They even created a recipe listing the ingredients and the instructions of how to make a disgusting sandwich. In maths we have been measuring height. Looking at each other's height and looking at the height of the various toys in our classroom.
This week reception practised their story sequencing skills by ordering pictures from 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' book and creating their own story maps. We continued to develop number recognition and counting out skills in maths.
This week reception have been looking at a new book call 'Spider Sandwiches'. The teachers discovered a disgusting sandwich in the kitchen. It had eyeballs, spiders and lots more disgusting things. We also developed our knowledge of shapes through a variety of exciting activities.
