Spring Term 2017 -

J1 enjoyed dressing up as lots of different characters from books. They all made a huge effort! The theme for Year 3 was superheroes and we made shields, magical watches and superhero books. Everyone worked very hard and we had a brilliant day!

J1 have had lots of fun learning all about healthy eating. We have looked at the different food groups, made fruit kebabs and designed a healthy lunchbox. We used a free app called Sugar Smart to scan different drinks. We were shocked to find out that there are 9 whole cubes of sugar in a can of coke!!

Thank you to the parents who joined us :-)

W.B 17.10.2016 -

This week we have had lots of fun doing Science experiments for Family Week. We have discussed healthy eating, designed a coat which we thought would reflect light, made a boat which would float and planted flowers. We have been very busy! Thank you to the parents and family members who came in to join us :)

J1 had lots of fun at Tatton Park which was all based on exciting Roald Dahl activities. We stroked the animals on the farm, hunted in the woods for the Enormous Crocodile, explored Matilda's Mansion, found Mr Fox's Den and we even had time to play on the park. Everyone was very quiet on the journey home :)

J1 enjoyed following instructions to decorate a biscuit. They highlighted imperative verbs and looked at the features of instructions. They could then eat their biscuit, which they loved!
Mubarak has worked extremely hard on his story all about the game Jumanji. He enjoys using alliteration in his writing.

In Design Technology we have been focusing on photo frames. We have looked at how they stand up, what they are made from and who would use the frame. Children were given a challenge to make a stable structure which would stand up. The children enjoyed this challenge and they will be designing frames next week.
We had an exciting visit from a Roman Soldier for the whole day. We learnt lots of interesting facts and pretended to fight in a battle.
